As a testimony to the continuing global appeal of dancehall/reggae many non-Caribbean nationals have thrown their hats into the mix and have produced tracks with global appeal. Likewise, Caribbean nationals residing abroad and those residing locally have crafted music with tremendous 'cross over' potential. These individuals have managed to capture the essence of the genre in a manner accepted in Reggae, Pop, Club, Hip Hop, and Rock circles.
